MD 9000 is a  clear, double-sided adhesive tape with a distinctive red-liner.  Use MD 9000 for CGI, motion capture, cosplay, fashion and biomechanics labs to capture moderate movements.  MD 9000 adheres well to almost any clean, dry, non-oily surface, including skin, clothing, and other things, e.g. golf clubs, baseball bats, basketballs, baseballs, etc.

To Use: 

  • Confirm that all surfaces are free of dirt, dust or other debris</li>
  • If necessary, wash or rinse bonding surfaces and dry
  • Remover red liner to expose the adhesive surface
  • Apply with some pressure to the bonding

  • It is usually not necessary to “test” the hold but if “testing” is desired, MD 9000 can be easily re-attached if accidentally removed.
  • When removing, secure an edge and pull up and away to release
  • If any adhesive residue remains, use either C3H70 or SAS to remove

MD 9000 double-sided tape rolls:

MD 9000 is our most versatile, well-balanced adhesive tape.  MD 9000 fills the void between a Light Duty hold and our exceptionally strong tapes.  When using MD 9000 as a roll, removing the liner can be a bit of a challenge.  To remove the liner,  use a pin or other sharp tool to gently prick the red liner and lift it.  Once lifted, it can then be grasped with the fingers and easily removed.

MD 9000 is gentle on the skin and ideal for use in gait analysis and a “must have” in the Mechanical/Engineering Lab where mock-ups and models are typically crafted.  MD 9000 is clear and odorless and, again, exceptionally versatile.
